What is Digital Marketing?
Digital Marketing is promotion using digital distribution channels. Although it tends to focus on Internet based activities, it also includes mobile, SMS, even CD. There are a great many online tools and websites that can help you undertake digital marketing, many of which are free, so Digital Marketing doesn’t have to cost lots of money, but kid yourself not; it will eat up your time!
I’m trying to collect a whole bunch of information and tools together in this site that I’ve found out by luck, judgement, trial and error, so that it may be useful to others when marketing their jobs online
Before you can do anything, you need to get a few things clear.
- Know what it is you are trying to Market (and know it well!)
- Set some goals!
- Know your target audience
- Know what they are interested in
- Know where they go
- Know what they want
- Grab your online identity – Stake your claim
